Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra

Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra adalah ensemble yang terdiri para musisi profesional yang dibentuk pada tanggal 25 Agustus 1925, dengan nama the Dubrovnik Philharmonic. Konser pertama orkestra ini diadakan di Marin Držić Theatre di bawah arahan konduktor Polandia, Tadeusz Sygietynski. Penampilan perdana mereka mendapat respon positif, oleh karena itu, dana aktifitas – aktifitas mereka kemudian didukung sepenuhnya oleh pemerintah mereka sendiri. Dari tahun ke tahun, orkestra ini berganti nama beberapa kali, pda tahun 1946 berganti nama menjadi the Dubrovnik City Orchestra.

Noorman Widjaja

Noorman Widjaja

Noorman Widjaja berasal dari keluarga musisi, bakatnya sebagai konduktor mulai ditunjukan pada saat beliau ditugaskan untuk menjadi pengarah artstik paduan suara dalam acara mengenang Presiden Soekarno di Djakarta (Indonesia) di mana pada saat itu, Noorman hanya berumur 11 tahun pada saat ayahnya meninggal dunia karena sakit.

Pada tahun 1969, beliau mulai belajar piano di College of Music di Berlin di bawah arahan Prof. Gerhard Puchelt, komposisi di bawah arahan Prof. I Song Jun, dan konduktor di bawah arahan Prof. Hans Martin Rabenstein. Pada tahun 1982, Noorman pindah ke Nuremberg dan diangkat menjadi konduktor oleh kepala konduktor Hans Gierster. Mulai saat itu, beliau menjadi pengajar artistik Nurembergmore dan melakukan banyak pertunjukan sampai tahun 1990.

Gabriel Schwabe

Cellist Gabriel Schwabe has appeared with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, the Chamber Soloists of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Kremerata Baltica, the Chamber Academy Potsdam, the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin. In 2009 he was invited by the Berlin Philharmonic to give his début in the Philharmonie with the Waseda Symphony Orchestra of Japan. He has played at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele and the Osnabrück, performing with Alfredo Perl and Vladimir Mendelssohn. In Kronberg he presented a recital with Pavel Gililov at the 2007 Cello Festival.

Pianist Laura Nocchiero graduated from the A. Vivaldi State Music Conservatory in Novara, Italy, and has performed extensively both as a soloist and as guest artist with numerous international ensembles and orchestras. Touring throughout Europe, the Americas and Japan, Ms. Nocchiero has performed at the Valletta Manoel Theatre (Malta), St. Martin in the Fields (London), St. John Smith Square (London), St. Merry (Paris), Cité internationale universitaire (Paris), New York University, Klavierhaus (New York), Steinway Hall (New York), Cleveland State University, Library and Archives Canada Auditorium (Ottawa), Teatro Alfieri (Turin, Italy), Lilia Hall, Yokohama (Japan), Mainichi Culture Center in Osaka (Japan), Sala Baldini (Rome), George Enescu Museum (Bucharest), Linares Andrès Segovia Museum (Spain),

Michael Sussmann

Michael Süssmann started to play the violin at 5, and made his first public performance at 7 as soloist with orchestra in Bergen, Norway. Later, he studied with Ernst Glaser and Karsten Andersen, the latter also the chief conductor at Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra In 1972, Süssmann attended the master class at the Royal Conservatoir de Musique de Bruxelles, where he studied with Andrè Gertler and Leon Ara.

Pemain Klarinet asal Belgia Marcel Luxen telah tampil sebagai musisi kamar musik and anggota orkestra, serta pemain solo di seluruh Eropa dan Asia, Australia dan Amerika. Dia telah memenangkan penghargaan di kompetisi bertaraf nasional dan internasional (diantaranya Masterplayers International Music Competition, Lugano dan Brussels International Clarinet Competition) dan tampil di beberapa konser hall terkemuka di dunia diantaranya Musikverein, Concertgebouw, Salle Pleyel, Royal Albert Hall, Suntory Hall, Palais des Beaux Arts, dan Avery Fisher Hall.
