Indonesian pianist Christine Utomo has performed in numerous recitals as solo pianist, soloist with orchestra, and collaborative pianist in various chamber music concerts in Indonesia, USA, and Europe, in venues such as Balai Sarbini Jakarta, Titan Center Jakarta, Sky Convention Hall Medan, University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Concert Hall, University of Southern California Alfred Newman Recital Hall, Klosterkirche Medingen, Ruïnekerk Bergen, Revelin Fort, The Rector’s Palace, Ratusz Staromiejski w Toruniu, Teatro Comunale di Cassalmaggiore, among others.

She has been featured at various International music festivals, including Parahrayangan Classical Music Festival, Wintergreen Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Shandelee Music Festival, Casalmaggiore Music Festival, Paderewski Piano Academy, International Summer Academy Lüneburger Heide, International Holland Music Sessions, among others.

Past highlights included the solo concerto performances with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra in Dubrovnik and Indonesia with conductor Norman Widjaja, series of concerts with violinist Iskandar Widjaja in Indonesia, and Sumatra concert tour with cellist Tina Guo. 

Her other activities included performing classical music outreach lectures and recitals at schools, universities, non-profit organisation. Her debut singles recording with cellist Tina Guo were released in 2010. 

She was the laureate of 2000-2004 Dean Scholarship Award from University of Southern California, 2004-2007 Graduate Assistantship Award from University of Southern California, 2007 MURI Award, 2008 Joseph D. Feuerstein scholarship, prizewinner awards at the MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition, MTAC Piano Concerto Competition, National Indonesia Yamaha Piano Competition, among others.

She studied extensively with Norman Krieger at University of Southern California, where she completed her Master and Doctoral degrees. She has performed in the masterclasses of Bernd Goetzke, Andrez Jasinski,  Mikhail Voskressenky, Ekaterina Popowa-Zydron.

She is currently the Artistic Director of Irama Music Studio in Medan, Indonesia, where she actively performing, mentoring, and teaching.
